Why Fortress

DRIVING CONSISTENT, QUALITY OUTCOMES FOR CUSTOMERS and INSURERS

Fortress are people-focused, we value the satisfaction of both our customers and our employees.

Our Business,
Our People

Fortress is an independent, market leading, automotive repairer and partner of choice for insurers. We specialise in high-severity collision repairs, taking on the challenges involved in complex, non drivable, stolen/recovered and mechanical repairs.

Originally founded by Joe Walsh, the executive team today has over 40 years of collective industry experience. Joe, and Peter Taylor, the CEO, have built clear accountability and value by aligning performance measures to the business model and values. The clarity of these values is now evident in our high standard of service excellence and trusted partnerships.

Our sustainability is underpinned by the ability to attract and develop experienced technicians and professionals. Leading talent management, Mark Reid and Sarah Moynihan, have invested in a "grow your own strategy" since business inception, producing trained and ready resources with industry recognised apprenticeship and leadership development programs.

Fortress is committed to delivering a reliable, quality repair experience. Central to this success, is our people. Placing people first means that our employees, who feel valued, satisfied and challenged, are motivated by the success of our business and their own achievements and growth.

Our Vision

Fortress has a clear strategic intent to be Australia’s leading independent automotive repairer and the partner of choice for insurers.

The core enablers and pillar of Fortress’s strategy are the people, skills and culture that makes the business and our unique model come to life.

We recognise the repair industry is a people business and intend never to lose sight of that.

As such our vision is underpinned by a philosophy that “If you grow, we grow.  If we grow, you grow”.

Our Mission

Our strategy is fortified by a customer centric business model combined with operational flexibility that drives consistent, high quality outcomes.

We are committed to maintaining the highest industry standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our customers remain at the core of everything we do.
