APG awards $10,000 of tool vouchers to female apprentices.

APG has selected 10 female apprentices who each receive a $1000 Würth tool voucher in its campaign to support women on the workshop floor.

APG reports an enthusiastic response from all capital cities. The response to the initiative demonstrates the enthusiasm and interest within the industry to support women and encourage their participation in what has traditionally been a male-dominated field.

The collision repair industry demands relentless focus and unwavering dedication to the craft. However, for budding apprentices, the road to success can be challenging, especially when financial constraints stand in the way of owning essential tools. Historically, women have been underrepresented in this field, and through this initiative, APG aims to support the next generation of female apprentices achieve their goals.

James Knox, the Chief Executive Officer of Auto Parts Group said: "At APG, we envision a future where female apprentice numbers grow exponentially within the industry. We want to support our customers to be successful and that’s why we are wholeheartedly supporting this initiative. Anything we can do to contribute to the sustainability of our industry is paramount to the team at APG. "

“Congratulations to all our winners.  It’s really encouraging to see the volume of submissions highlighting some fantastic female apprentices across the country.”
